The New Sharon City Council: Consisting of five members elected "at-large" for overlapping terms of four years.

The elected officials who serve the City of new Sharon are a dedicated group of people who love their community. The Mayor and City Counncil are the governing body of the City. They set policies and rules by which the City is operated, including establishing goals and targeting issues as well as setting the tax rates.

Regular City council meetings are held on the first Monday and third Wednesday of each month, starting at 7:00 p.m., in the City Hall chambers, 101 S. Main Street. If you would like to be placed on the agenda, please notify the City Clerk 36 hours prior to the meeting.

BUILDING PERMITS - No building or other structure shall be erected, altered, used or occupied within the City without first receiving a permit therefor. Application shall be made in writing and filed with the Clerk of the City of New Sharon.
